Jackson Kelly, PLLC
Objective Tenant Representation Services
Challenge
Founded in 1822, Jackson Kelly has grown from a single office in Charleston, West Virginia to 12 offices across Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. With more than 165 attorneys and decades of experience, Jackson Kelly is a full-service firm that represents a wide variety of private and public clients across a host of industries in nearly all aspects of law. Some two years prior to the expiration of its Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office lease, Jackson Kelly turned to Carrie Holstead for help in identifying and securing its most attractive office leasing alternative.
Action
After completing an in depth analysis of Jackson Kelly’s needs, Carrie assembled the best in class architect, designer and project management team, prepared a market survey of all viable office space currently available as well as off market opportunities, and toured buildings with Jackson Kelly executives. She then drafted an RFP that reflected Jackson Kelly’s business needs and sent it to buildings of further interest. Upon receipt of the responses, she prepared a financial analysis and comparison of the proposals and had test fit plans and a preliminary construction budget prepared at a short list of buildings. Finally, she leveraged the market and nearly 35 years of corporate real estate experience to secure the best space at very attractive terms, and coordinated the design, construction and furnishing of Jackson Kelly’s stunning new office. Architectural and design services were provided by Avon Graf Architects.
